1. Anthropic turned a team of Wall Street advisors into a set of skills you can use with Claude.
A guy on YouTube got it to evaluate a publicly traded stock, and the results were shocking.
It’s free.
2. ByteDance created a tool that lets your AI agent control your computer.
You now have a virtual assistant who can book your flights, send text messages and operate any app.
Yup. It’s free, too.
3. A guy on GitHub built an open-source alternative to Claude Code.
It’s built around DeepSeek models and supports self-hosted providers too.
It’s free.
∞ There are many more examples than I can list here.
Yeah, all free. But so what?

It's all on GitHub, which in the past would've been a complete turn-off.
But now it’s easy to use.
Until this year, when somebody gave me a GitHub link, I didn’t know what to do with it. I'm not a developer. I couldn’t use it
Now, because of AI, I just give the GitHub link to Claude Code and tell it to build the thing I need or to integrate it into what I’ve already built for myself.

Every week, I look at the top GitHub repos of the week, along with Adam Brakhane, CTO of Gateway X, the venture studio.
He explains each one to me, tells me how to use them, and what to watch out for.
It’s super fun.
We just published this week’s video.
You should check it out, here.
